AI Love: How a Non-Tech Founder Fell Head Over Heels for the Future of Everything

For the ones who do not yet know this about me, I am the founder of a tech startup. When I introduce this to people or potential investors I do not immediately call it a tech startup, I say that we are building a sustainability ecosystem. And if they show interest to hear more I continue explaining that with the sustainability ecosystem (Viisiit.) we are on a mission to help the world transition into a circular economy. With Viisiit. we are looking to revolutionize the way consumers and businesses approach sustainability by providing them with the tools and resources they need to save time and money while also earning money recycling different types of materials. We aim to connect consumers and businesses to sustainable services, products, and experiences through both online and offline channels.

When we go deeper though, you can see that Viisiit. is in essence a big data company, wherein we want to integrate the platform with blockchain and use AI/Machine Learning to better serve our members and make our supply chains run more efficiently. The reason why I do not feel comfortable talking about Viisiit. as a tech startup is because I am in essence a non-technical founder. I know for example the fundamentals of blockchain technology and I know the basics of how coding works, but I cannot code myself.

Now, while I may not have a background in tech, I have fallen in love with AI, specifically ChatGPT. In this blog, I want to explain to those who may not know much about AI, why it is here to stay and how it will transform every aspect of our lives.

So, let’s start with a deeper understanding of what AI is. AI refers to the development of computer systems that can perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and language translation. This is achieved through a combination of machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.

Machine learning is a type of AI that enables a computer system to learn and improve on its own without being explicitly programmed. It does this by analyzing large amounts of data and using algorithms to identify patterns and make predictions.

Natural language processing is the ability of a computer system to understand, interpret, and generate human language. This is what enables AI to engage in human-like conversations, translate languages, and even generate new text.

Computer vision, on the other hand, is the ability of a computer system to understand and interpret visual information from the world around it. This is what enables AI to identify objects, recognize faces, and even perform tasks such as autonomous driving.

Now that we have a better understanding of what AI is, let’s dive into why it is here to stay. AI is becoming increasingly advanced and is able to perform tasks faster and more accurately than humans. This has led to a surge in the demand for AI in various industries, from healthcare to finance. In healthcare, AI is being used to diagnose diseases, predict outbreaks, and even develop new treatments. In finance, AI is being used to detect fraud, analyze investments, and even provide financial advice. In education, AI is being used to personalize learning experiences and improve student outcomes.

Another reason AI is here to stay is due to advancements in hardware and software that are making it easier and more cost-effective to develop and implement AI solutions. For example, the availability of cloud computing and high-performance hardware is making it possible for organizations of all sizes to develop and implement AI solutions.

But AI isn’t just here to stay, it’s also here to transform every aspect of our lives. Let’s take a closer look at how AI will impact some of the key areas in our lives.

In healthcare, AI will continue to play a major role in improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs. AI can analyze vast amounts of patient data and identify patterns that may not be immediately apparent to human healthcare providers. This information can then be used to develop new treatments and improve the accuracy of diagnoses.

In finance, AI will continue to revolutionize the way financial services are provided. AI can analyze vast amounts of financial data and identify patterns that may not be immediately apparent to human financial analysts. This information can then be used to detect fraud, analyze investments, and even provide financial advice.

In education, AI will play a major role in improving student outcomes and personalizing learning experiences. AI can analyze student data to identify areas where they need improvement and then provide personalized learning experiences that are tailored to their individual needs. This will result in improved student outcomes and a more efficient use of resources.

In conclusion, AI is here to stay and will transform every aspect of our lives. From healthcare to finance, education, and beyond, AI has the potential to revolutionize the way we live, work, and play. So, to all the non-tech people out there, don’t be intimidated by AI. Embrace it and see the endless possibilities it can bring to your life. And to all the techies out there, keep pushing the boundaries of what AI can do, because the sky’s the limit.

In conclusion, AI is here to stay and will transform every aspect of our lives. I for one, cannot wait to see for myself how the integration of AI/Machine Learning into the services and back-end of the platform of Viisiit. will improve the company, as I am confident that it will. So let’s all get on board and see where this exciting technology takes us!

How did this blog get made?

To keep true to the spirit of this blog, most of the blog was actually written by ChatGPT! For the ones who do not know how this works, I’m going to post screenshots of the prompts I made and the answers that ChatGPT gave me.
